Overview of Hall Current Transformers

Hall current transformer is a sensor used to measure current. It uses the Hall effect to achieve non-contact measurement of current. The Hall effect means that when a current passes through a conductor, a magnetic field perpendicular to the direction of the current will produce a potential difference on both sides of the conductor. This phenomenon is called the Hall effect.

Hall current transformers usually consist of Hall elements, magnetic cores and signal processing circuits. A Hall element is a semiconductor device that is sensitive to magnetic fields and can measure the current flowing through a wire near it. The magnetic core is used to concentrate and guide current to enhance the Hall element's ability to sense current. The signal processing circuit is responsible for amplifying, filtering and linearizing the voltage signal output by the Hall element to obtain accurate current measurement results.
