Split Core Current Transformers installation requirements

Jul 03, 2021|

1. Construct according to the drawings, the wiring is correct, the line number labels at both ends should be clear, and the label range meets the requirements.

2. The current and voltage circuits should be grounded at the outlet of the secondary side of the transformer. The voltage circuit should be protected by a fuse.

4. The secondary circuit line of the panel cabinet should have no connector, and there should be no connector in the middle of the control cable or line. If there is a connector, it should be connected through its long junction box.

5. The secondary circuit of the split-combination current transformer should be well insulated to the ground, and the voltage circuit and current circuit should not be mixed.

6. The wiring of the secondary circuit should be arranged neatly and beautifully, and the connecting screws between the wiring and the electrical components and the junction box should not be loose. The distance between the wiring binding points should meet the requirements.

7. The period cannot be reversed, and the phase sequence and phase difference should meet the requirements of the design and regulations. For the transformer wiring with differential protection, the phasor diagram of the two arms must be measured before putting it into operation to check the correctness of the wiring.

8. Copper wires should be used for secondary circuit wires or cables. The cross-section of the voltage transformer loop shall not be less than 1.5mm. Special current terminals should be used for the outlet junction box. The unused secondary winding of the transformer should be short-circuited and grounded on the terminal block.
