Application fields of residual current transformers
Mar 22, 2024| 1. Ground fault protection: Residual current transformers can be used to detect ground faults in power systems. When a ground fault occurs in the system, the residual current transformer can detect the change in residual current and trigger the corresponding protection device to ensure the safe operation of the system.
2. Leakage protection: Residual current transformers are widely used in leakage protection devices in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. When leakage occurs in the power system, the residual current transformer can detect the existence of leakage current and quickly cut off the circuit to prevent electric shock accidents.
3. Grounding system monitoring: Residual current transformers can be used to monitor the grounding system of the power system. By detecting the size and direction of the residual current, the status of the grounding system can be judged, and necessary maintenance measures can be taken in a timely manner to ensure the reliability and safety of the system.
4. Power quality monitoring: Residual current transformers can be used to monitor harmonics, imbalances and other power quality issues in power systems. By measuring the spectrum and amplitude of the residual current, the quality of the power system can be evaluated and corresponding measures can be taken to improve the stability and reliability of the system.
