Common faults and treatment methods of current transformers
Jul 25, 2025| 1. Insulation damage
Cause: Long-term operation leads to insulation aging, or external force impact, etc.
Treatment method: Replace damaged insulation parts, or replace the entire current transformer.
2. Secondary open circuit
Cause: The secondary circuit connection is loose or broken.
Treatment method: Check and repair the connection of the secondary circuit to ensure that the connection is firm.
3. Overheating
Cause: Overload operation or internal fault.
Treatment method: Check the load condition, adjust the load or replace the current transformer with a suitable capacity; check internal faults and replace the equipment if necessary.
4. Increased noise
Cause: Loose core or internal fault.
Treatment method: Check the tightness of the core and replace the equipment if necessary.
