Electrical Current Transformer's variable flow principle

The Electrical Current Transformer realizes the current changing effect by approximating the principle of an ideal transformer. They consist of a primary winding connected to the circuit being measured and a secondary winding connected to the measurement and protection equipment.

When the primary winding is fed with a high current, according to the ideal transformer principle, the output current of the secondary winding will change according to the same transformation ratio. For example, if the primary winding draws 100 amps and the transformation ratio is 10:1, the secondary winding will deliver 10 amps.
