How to check the preheating status of the measuring equipment and the current transformer under test?
Aug 14, 2024| 1. Observe the equipment indicator light
Some measuring equipment and current transformers may be equipped with an indicator light. When the preheating is completed, the indicator light will show the corresponding status, such as being always on or changing color.
2. Check the equipment display
Many modern measuring equipment have a display screen that will show the working status of the equipment, including whether the preheating is completed.
3. Monitor the output parameters of the equipment
For example, the stability of the output current or voltage. During the preheating process, read and record the output parameters regularly. If the output parameters remain stable for a period of time, it can usually be considered that the preheating is complete.
4. Refer to the equipment manual
The user manual of the equipment usually provides the judgment criteria for the preheating time and the completion of preheating. Make judgments according to the provisions in the manual.
5. Perform simple test measurements
After a period of preheating, perform a simple measurement and observe the repeatability and stability of the measurement results. If the results are stable and meet expectations, the equipment can be considered to be fully preheated.
