How to install and use Power Current Transformer
Nov 29, 2021| (1) The installation of Power Current Transformer, depending on the equipment configuration, has the following situations:
① Install the Power Current Transformer on the metal frame.
②In the place where the busbar passes through the wall or floor, fix the Power Current Transformer directly to the wall or floor with basic screws, or first make the angle iron into a rectangular frame and bury it in the wall or floor, and then place an iron of the same size as the frame. The plate (about 4mm thick) is fixed on the frame with screws or electric welding, and then the Power Current Transformer is fixed on the iron plate. The Power Current Transformer is generally installed at a certain height from the ground. During installation, the Power Current Transformer itself is heavy, so special care should be taken to prevent damage to the porcelain bottle when lifting it upwards.
③When installing, the centers of the three Power Current Transformers should be on the same plane, the spacing of the transformers should be the same, and finally the Power Current Transformer base should be well grounded.
(2) The primary winding of the Power Current Transformer is connected in series with the circuit under test, and the secondary winding is connected in series with the electrical measuring instrument. The polarity symbol cannot be mistaken when wiring. In actual work, due to limited conditions, it is also possible to completely reverse the primary and secondary terminals of each phase of the Power Current Transformer.
(3) In a three-phase circuit, the transformation ratio and capacity of each phase of the Power Current Transformer should be the same.
(4) One end of the secondary measurement of the Power Current Transformer must be grounded (usually Kz grounded) to prevent the voltage of the primary measurement from being crossed into the secondary measurement when the primary and secondary coils of the Power Current Transformer break down.
(5) The secondary winding of the Power Current Transformer cannot be opened. Otherwise, high voltage will be generated, endangering the safety of equipment and operators; at the same time, due to the overheating of the core of the current transformer, the transformer may be burnt out: the error of the Power Current Transformer is also increased.
(6) It is found that the current transformer has unusual vibration and heat during operation, and the operation should be stopped for inspection and treatment.
