How to maintain Power Current Transformer

Nov 14, 2021|

During the operation of the Power Current Transformer manufacturer, the secondary circuit of the Power Current Transformer may unplug the terminal screws automatically due to vibration and other reasons. "Hum" sound. If the power current transformer is open for the instrument, the open-circuit phase ammeter indicates zero, the speed of the electric energy meter decreases, and the indication of the active and reactive power meters decrease; if the Power Current Transformer is used for protection, the zero sequence, negative sequence and differential protections may be wrong. At this time, the load circuit carried by the Power Current Transformer should be checked first, and the differential, zero-sequence, and negative-sequence protections should be taken out of operation.

If it is an external open circuit of the Power Current Transformer, safety measures should be taken. The personnel on duty should wear insulated shoes and insulated gloves, first short-circuit the secondary side of the ground, and then handle the disconnection or loosening, and then remove the grounding short-circuit wire to restore normal operation; if it is an internal open circuit, then Power failure should be handled. During the open-circuit operation of the Power Current Transformer, the primary current should be appropriately reduced and the protection team should be notified in time to deal with it. Power Current Transformer needs to cut off the power immediately if the heating temperature is too high, there is discharge noise inside, serious oil leakage, etc. During operation, if smoke or fire is found inside the Power Current Transformer, use a circuit breaker to cut it off, and use a fire extinguisher such as carbon dioxide to extinguish the fire.
