Precautions for zero-sequence current transformers
Apr 09, 2025| 1. Avoid secondary open circuit:
During operation, it is strictly forbidden to open the secondary side of the transformer, otherwise it may cause high voltage on the secondary side, endangering personal and equipment safety.
If the secondary circuit needs to be repaired or tested, the primary circuit should be powered off first to ensure safety.
2. Grounding protection:
Ensure that the grounding terminal of the transformer is reliably grounded. The grounding wire should be directly connected to the grounding busbar or grounding electrode to avoid indirect grounding through other equipment or conductors.
3. Regular maintenance:
Regularly check the appearance and wiring of the transformer to ensure that it operates normally.
Perform insulation tests and load tests regularly to ensure that the performance of the transformer meets the requirements.
4. Environmental requirements:
Ensure that the installation environment of the transformer meets the requirements and avoid places with high temperature, humidity, dust or corrosive gases.
5. Correctly select the model:
Select the appropriate model and specification according to the actual application requirements to ensure that the rated current, accuracy level and other parameters of the transformer meet the design requirements.
