Reasons for demagnetization of Electrical Current Transformer
Sep 01, 2023| 1. Magnet aging: There is usually a permanent magnet or electromagnetic coil inside the Electrical Current Transformer to generate a magnetic field to maintain the magnetic flux of the secondary coil. However, over time, magnets age and their magnetic field strength gradually decreases.
2. External magnetic field interference: Electrical Current Transformer is usually installed in the power system, and there may be other electromagnetic devices or current conductors in the surrounding environment. The interference of these external magnetic fields will affect the Electrical Current Transformer, resulting in demagnetization of the transformer.
3. Temperature changes: Temperature changes will also affect the performance of the Electrical Current Transformer. High temperatures cause the material inside the transformer to expand, which affects the magnetic field strength of the magnet.
