How to verify the Electrical Current Transformer
Aug 30, 2023| 1. Comparison standard
First, compare the transformer to be verified with a standard transformer of known accuracy. The error of the transformer to be verified can be determined by connecting two transformers and passing a current of the same magnitude through them, then comparing their output signals.
2. Record and analyze data
During the comparison process, the output data of the two transformers need to be recorded and analyzed. These data can be used to calculate the accuracy, linearity and phase error and other indicators of the transformer to be verified.
3. Tweaks and fixes
If the output error of the transformer to be verified is outside the allowable range, adjustments and repairs may be required. For example, the accuracy of a transformer can be improved by replacing the magnetic core, repairing the windings, or recalibrating.
