Reasons for the secondary side grounding of the Electrical Current Transformer
Oct 13, 2021| Since the primary winding and the secondary winding of the Electrical Current Transformer are connected in series in the primary loop and the secondary control loop respectively when working, the working voltage of the secondary side is very large, so it is not allowed to open the circuit. Therefore, the secondary winding must be grounded during operation to prevent the high voltage from entering the low voltage through the transformer after the insulation of the transformer is broken down, which will harm the instrument and the operating personnel. The secondary point of the transformer is grounded, and the equipment will not be affected. The normal operation also guarantees the safety of personnel and equipment.
