What are the symptoms of a failing Hall effect sensor?

When the Hall sensor is damaged, the controller may not receive the correct rotor position signal, leading to difficulty starting the motor or even complete failure to start. Some vehicles may experience a situation where they cannot move after plugging in the power.
2. Abnormal operation
Shaking and abnormal noises: The motor will shake noticeably during operation, accompanied by a "clicking" sound or a dull "humming" sound. In severe cases, a "clacking" noise may occur, especially during acceleration or braking.
Insufficient power: There is a feeling of reduced power when starting, slow speed increase, which is especially noticeable when going uphill.
3. Control system problems
Abnormal acceleration: The vehicle responds sluggishly when twisting the throttle, and there may be delayed acceleration or uncontrolled "runaway" acceleration.
Dashboard abnormalities: This may trigger dashboard errors or a safety lockout mechanism, leading to repeated starting failures.
4. Overheating and decreased efficiency
Sensor failure may lead to inaccurate current control, causing the motor to overheat, while also reducing operating efficiency and increasing energy consumption.
5. Other symptoms
Heavy steering: There may be a feeling of sticking when turning the front wheels, especially in rainy conditions.
Brake failure: The braking response speed decreases, the emergency braking distance increases, and even a "false braking" phenomenon may occur.
