What equipment is required to verify the current transformer?

Sep 01, 2021|

1. Transformer calibrator: Measure the error between the standard transformer and the tested transformer, and show the working current.

2. Standardized current transformer: used as a standardizer in the verification of transformers. The accuracy is generally two levels higher than that of the measured one. It is planned to have multiple variable-ratio taps and is used to the verification of different transformers.

3. Current booster: matched with a voltage regulator to match the test current that generates various requirements. Its capacity and cost increase with the increase of current.

4. Load box: simulate the actual working condition of the transformer under test.

5. Voltage regulator: It is used to adjust the test current. Generally, it is installed in a console with maintenance and switches. It is divided into two voltage regulators for coarse and fine adjustment to meet the fineness of adjustment. When measuring under the rated current of 2500A, it can be manufactured with a 10KVA general-purpose voltage regulator combination. For larger currents, special manufacturing is required. Generally, 30~60KVA is required.

6. High-current connection cables: connect hundreds or thousands of amperes of current, the cable price cannot be ignored.
