What problems should be paid attention to in daily use of Electrical Current Transformer

One, the electrical current transformer polarity connection must be correct

Electrical Current Transformer generally reduces the polarity mark. If the polarity is not connected correctly, it will affect the measurement, and even when there are multiple current mutual inductors in parallel on the same line, all of them will cause a short circuit accident.


Second, the secondary circuit of the Electrical Current Transformer should have a protective grounding point

In order to prevent the high voltage from entering the low voltage side after the insulation breakdown between the primary and secondary windings and endangering personal and instrument safety, a protective grounding point should be set on the secondary side of the Electrical Current Transformer. Only one grounding point is allowed to be connected. Generally, it will be close to the Electrical Current. The box terminal of Transformer is grounded.


Three, the secondary winding is not allowed to open circuit during operation

Otherwise, it will lead to the following serious consequences: high voltage appears on the secondary side, endangering the safety of personnel and instruments; overheating may burn out the windings; increase the measurement error.


Four, about the relay protection device

The electrical current transformer secondary circuit used for electric energy measurement should not be connected with relay protection devices and automatic devices to prevent mutual influence.
