Technical Description

In our standard test procedure, all LO-5600 current sense transformers are tested at 500Vdc for at least 1 second.In addition, as part of our quality certification process prior to product release, the 5600 Series has no isolation breakdown at 10kVdc or 6kVac, with bare conductors as primary windings. While this does not mean that these components are designed for environments where such high voltages may exist, it does demonstrate the level of isolation voltage that these products can withstand. Full power safety isolation is achieved by appropriate insulated wires on the primary winding.
