Real-time current and energy monitoring is essential at the power distribution terminal. Traditional current transformers are bulky, heavy, and difficult to install in compact distribution cabinets. Although Rogowski coils and fiber-optic current sensors offer flexible installation, their millivolt-level outputs require additional amplification modules and are not compatible with the standard 5 A input of existing protection and metering systems. In addition, Rogowski coils have poor low-current accuracy due to their air-core structure.
This flexible-core current transformer combines the advantages of flexible installation and standard current transformer output. The high-permeability flexible magnetic core enables direct 5 A secondary output at primary currents of 800 A and above, while meeting Class 0.5 accuracy requirements of IEC61869 at 1000 A and 1500 A.
With its lightweight, flexible, and customizable structure, the product can be directly wrapped around cables or busbars without disconnecting equipment, making it ideal for confined spaces and retrofit applications. The ring-shaped structure uses a plug-in connector to close the magnetic circuit, providing compact size, low weight, and easy installation.
