Electrical Current Transformer Wiring Inspection Method
Feb 04, 2022| 1. In order to check whether there is disconnection and short circuit on the secondary side, disconnect the wires connected to the A-phase voltage terminal and the C-phase voltage terminal of the electric energy meter successively. Under normal circumstances, the disc of the electric energy meter should be Rotation appears.
If the electric energy meter disc does not rotate after the A-phase voltage is cut off, it means that the C phase of the Electrical Current Transformer is disconnected or short-circuited. On the contrary, if the C-phase voltage is cut off, the electric energy meter disc does not rotate, indicating that the Electrical Current Transformer A phase An open or short-circuit fault has occurred.
2. How to determine whether the voltage transformer is reversely connected? We can distinguish the current situation by connecting the ammeter to the secondary side of the Electrical Current Transformer successively. If it is a star connection, the current in the middle phase is twice the current in the other phases.
3. To distinguish whether the Electrical Current Transformer has a good grounding device, an ammeter can be used for accurate detection. During the detection process, one side of the ammeter needs to be connected to the terminal of the voltage transformer that is not connected to the grounding device, and the other end is connected to the second line of the Electrical Current Transformer. If there is a grounding device, the current of the ammeter is expressed as 100V, if not, Current is 0.
4. If you want to verify whether the grounding device is suitable, you can also use the current for verification. The method is to connect one 1 terminal of the ammeter to the grounding device, and the wire of the other terminal to connect the electric energy meter. If the terminal is connected properly, then the ammeter has no indication.
