Several requirements to consider when choosing Power Current Transformer
Nov 23, 2021| (1) Rated current on the secondary side. The rated current of the primary side should usually be 1~1.3 times of the load current during normal operation.
(2) Rated voltage. The rated voltage should be 0.5kV or 0.66kV.
(3) Accuracy grade. If used for measurement, the accuracy level should be 0.5 or 0.2; if the load current changes greatly, or the load current is lower than 30% of the rated current of the primary side of the Power Current Transformer during normal operation, 0.5 should be selected.
(4) Number of turns and transformation ratio. The ratio and number of turns can be determined according to actual needs.
(5) Model specifications. After the Power Current Transformer manufacturer determines the transformation ratio according to the primary load current of the power supply line, the model is determined according to the actual installation situation.
(6) Rated capacity... The secondary rated capacity of Power Current Transformer is greater than the actual secondary load. The actual secondary load should be 25% to 100% of the primary rated capacity. The capacity determines the secondary side load impedance, and the load impedance affects the accuracy of measurement or control. The load impedance is mainly affected by the resistance of the measuring instrument and the relay coil, reactance and wiring contact resistance, and the resistance of the secondary connecting wire.
