What factors will affect the accuracy of the current transformer?

1. Excitation current
The core of the current transformer will generate excitation current when it is working. When the excitation current is too large, it will cause the measurement error to increase, thus affecting the accuracy.
2. Secondary load
If the load resistance connected to the secondary side is too large, the secondary current will become smaller, thus affecting the measurement accuracy.
The power factor of the secondary load will also affect the accuracy.
3. Core material and quality
The magnetic conductivity, hysteresis characteristics and eddy current loss of the core will affect the accuracy of the transformer.
Poor quality of the core, such as local overheating, air gap and other problems, will cause measurement errors.
4. The magnitude and frequency of the primary current
If the primary current deviates too much from the rated current of the transformer, or the operating frequency deviates from the rated frequency, the accuracy of the transformer will decrease.
5. Temperature
The change in temperature will affect the magnetic permeability of the core and the resistance of the winding, thereby affecting the accuracy of the transformer.
6. Installation and use conditions
If the installation position is improper, such as strong magnetic field interference in the surrounding area, it will affect the measurement accuracy.
Aging and reduced insulation performance caused by long-term operation will also have an adverse effect on accuracy.
7. Manufacturing process
Problems in the manufacturing process such as the winding method of the winding, the accuracy of the number of turns, and the assembly accuracy of the core may cause the transformer accuracy to fail to meet the requirements.
