Electrical Current Transformer wiring inspection method

1. In order to check whether the secondary side is disconnected or short-circuited, disconnect the wires connected to the phase A voltage terminal and the phase C voltage terminal of the electric energy meter. Normally, the disc of the electric energy meter should be Rotation appears.

If the electric current meter disc does not rotate after the A phase voltage is disconnected, it means that the Electrical Current Transformer C phase is disconnected or short-circuited. On the contrary, if the electric current transformer does not rotate after the C phase voltage is disconnected, it means the Electrical Current Transformer A phase An open or short-circuit fault has occurred.

2. How to determine whether the voltage transformer is connected reversely? We can connect the ammeter to the secondary side of the Electrical Current Transformer one after the other, and distinguish by the current situation after detection. If it is a star connection, the middle phase current is twice the current of the other phases.

3. To distinguish whether the Electrical Current Transformer is well grounded or not, you can use an ammeter to detect it. In the detection process, one side of the ammeter needs to be connected to the terminal of the voltage transformer that is not connected to the grounding device, and the other end is connected to the secondary line of the Electrical Current Transformer. If there is a grounding device, the current of the ammeter is expressed as 100V. If not, The current is zero.

4. If you want to verify whether the grounding device is suitable, you can also use current to verify. The method is to connect one terminal of the ammeter to the grounding device, and the wire of the other terminal to connect to the electric energy meter. If the terminal is properly connected, then the ammeter has no indication.
